One of the hardest things about doula work for me, is that I am SUCH a relationship focused person. Being with someone during SUCH an intimate time in their lives, and then, essentially, 2 weeks later saying goodbye, is so hard for me! But it’s necessary. I have been invited into their lives for such a precious time, I hope they all know how much I appreciate and am thankful for being given that trust and honor of being with them while they gave birth.
