I share photos of Doulas doing what Doulas do…. beautiful inspiring photos. They may look like family, but they are probably just doula/client. When I am with a client, I love and care for her like she IS family. However, she is NOT, and I am able to be present for her without the immense emotional attachment that family brings. This helps me to be able to make non-emotional suggestions, and not let fear or anxiety cloud my support.
